Job Overview
Bauer Technologies is currently pursuing qualified candidates in support of a DoD contract. The requirement is to provide system engineering support services through a modern, flexible, scalable, service management and delivery framework.
Job Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of the systems engineering discipline across one or more components of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including concept development, technical planning, requirements development, management, and validation, optimization, process improvement, system design, system analysis, system acquisition, system development, integration, verification, transition, operations, obsolescence, and disposal. Participate in the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of complex, integrated systems, people, capital, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis, and synthesis in support of the development of the client’s human exploration ground systems. Provide guidance and supervise less experienced engineers, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Provide specialized expertise within multiple IT systems (Windows 2008 R2/2012, SharePoint 2010, Exchange Server 2010, VMWare 5.1, Linux/Unix) as well as general knowledge of related disciplines
- Perform installation, administration, troubleshooting and support of server operating systems/services, storage, and Data Center solutions
- Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support
- Provide operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades
- Recent experience configuring, troubleshooting and STIG-ing Windows servers, Linux server and DNS servers is required
- Knowledge with routers, switches, firewalls, IDS, web cache equipment, proxy servers, VPN equipment and other enterprise network equipment is desirable
- The position includes responsibilities for technical briefings to Government representatives and DoD customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and capability to prepare Power Point briefs and Visio drawings is a plus

Must have a Secret security clearance as well as possess the ability to be upgraded to Top Secret
